Financial Planning: The One Big Beautiful Bill Act
The One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) was signed into law on July 4 and encompasses hundreds of provisions.
Impact Advisors Group is proud to announce that Matthew Williams, IAG Director of Financial Planning, has been awarded the Accredited Estate Planner® (AEP®) designation by the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils (NAEPC). The designation reflects Matt’s continued dedication to advancing his knowledge, deepening his expertise and serving clients with a truly comprehensive approach to wealth and estate planning.
The AEP® designation is a graduate-level accreditation awarded only to professionals who demonstrate advanced education, significant experience and a strong ethical foundation in estate planning. Beyond its credentialing, the designation signifies a commitment to multi-disciplinary collaboration, bringing together financial, legal, tax and family perspectives to create robust estate plans tailored to each individual or family’s unique goals.
“The AEP® designation has allowed me to be better equipped to put every aspect of my client’s estate, from legal to financial to tax, to be included in a comprehensive, well integrated plan,” Matthew Williams said of the designation.
With a diverse background that includes a degree in Civil Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology and years of experience as a professional engineer, Matt brings a rare blend of technical precision and empathetic perspective to his role. As a former client of the financial services industry himself, he approaches planning through a client’s lens, making complex strategies feel clear, actionable and rooted in purpose. Matt holds multiple advanced designations in addition to the AEP®, including CFP®, RICP®, CExP® and CASL®, reflecting his well-rounded expertise across retirement planning, exit planning and estate strategy.
Matt’s achievement aligns seamlessly with the mission and values of Impact Advisors Group, where personalized guidance and collaborative planning are central to how our team serves clients.
“Matt exemplifies IAG’s commitment to be the best at getting better,” said Brandon Jordan, CEO of Impact Advisors Group. “As an organization, not only are each of our advisors a CFP®, each advisor has also committed to developing an expertise in one of the areas of financial planning (e.g. estate planning, tax planning, insurance, etc.). This additional area of focus equips IAG to work collaboratively and effectively with the other members of the client’s Success Team (attorney, CPA, insurance professionals, etc.) to improve the odds that clients achieve their desired outcome(s).”
In and out of the office, Matt leads with purpose. He is an active steward at Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Church, co-chair of the Associates Council at the Home Builders Association of Bucks & Montgomery Counties, and deeply involved in his local Pennsylvania community. Whether mentoring fellow professionals or guiding clients through estate complexities, he is driven by a simple mission to bring the future into focus so families can make confident, informed decisions in the present.
Matt’s accomplishment underscores Impact Advisors Group’s belief in empowering clients through insight, partnership and excellence. It also signals the continued growth of a team that is committed to building meaningful, lasting IMPACT for generations to come.
